Our entire family has heated gear made by this company we have to come to trust the brand this jacket acquired for my 8 yr old sun is no exception ,this is a very lightweight jacket that works perfectly even though its a very light weight jacket the heating element is so effective you really don't need a thick jacket unless it was the most extreme of weather ,the battery in medium setting will last for more than five hours, at it's highest setting it will last up to four hours ,the zippers work well and the battery does not weigh down the jacket you barely feel it
